Shida Salehi received her Masters of Architecture from Staatliche Hochschule fur Bildende Kunste Staedelshule in Frankfurt, Germany and BA in Interior Design from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
Shida has worked at Karim Rashid NYC and Yabu Pushelberg Toronto. Having a great deal of experience in the design field from working at Yabu Pushelberg for four years. The vast scope of work ranged from projects on established international retail chains to luxury hotel brands.
Prior to moving to New York in 2011, Shida completed her Masters in Architecture in Frankfurt Germany where she was exposed to not only architectural studies but an international perspective on architecture.
The programme allowed for personal research and experimentation with the intentions of contributing to a contemporary discourse in architecture. Under the mentorship of Prof. Ben van Berkel, Prof. Johan Bettum and Prof. Mark Wigley.
The experience allowed for a personal systematic approach to design, whether it be interiors, architecture or branding. Shida is focused on seeking out innovative design solutions within the social and contextual condition.
